MIA

While I don't have an excuse for all of the posts I didn't write at the end of November, I do have great excuses for why I haven't written in December.

#1) I was on deadline for my chapter. I turned a (very rough) draft in to my advisers on December 11th.

#2) I was working really hard to get everything Christmas taken care of at the beginning of the month. I had some sewing/knitting projects to finish (a tee pee for the boys, a sweater for F., some chef hats for the boys). We delivered Christmas goodies to our neighbors and the mailman. I was also in charge of preschool for two weeks (including the Christmas party). And I had the combined activity and the joint activity to plan for Mutual.

#3) I delivered baby boy #3, who weighed in at 7 lbs. 12 oz. (That is almost a full pound bigger than my previous biggest baby). It was a scheduled c-section, which is different than having an unplanned c-section.

So that is why I have been MIA. I've stopped taking the narcotics and am trying to cut down on the Ibuprofen. Luckily, my mom was here for the delivery and my dad joined us for Christmas. I promise to post some pictures later when I feel up to walking down stairs, sitting on the very uncomfortable computer chair, and listening to the boys try to get me down on the ground playing with them.

As a friend pointed out to me, now that we have three boys, I cannot refer to them as "the oldest" and "the youngest." Since we have chosen not to use names for this blog, I am therefore taking suggestions for how to refer to the boys. My husband likes #1, #2, and #3. The friend referred to earlier suggests going Victorian and using initials and dashes (S--, F--, and A--). I know other people use replacement names. Are there any other suggestions? What would you prefer reading?
