Growing Green THings

So our garden(s) is growing. This is the raised bed in the backyard. You see pea and bean trellises, kohlrabi, lettuce, tomaotes, three carrots, 25 strawberries, one cilantro, and too many bindweed sprouts. Yes, bindweed is trying to take over the garden, but I am giving it a good run for its money. If you have any suggestions for getting rid of it, I would love to hear them. The plan right now is to use chemicals (eek) on the garden after the final harvest.

But the point is that the gardens are growing, despite rabbits, weeds, and inexperience.

Instead of chemicals, after you are done harvesting, you could try killing them off with salt water. It won't do anything as a pre-emergent, but it will kill whatever is already there.
